Congrats Mike & Emese!!!

 

 

Just got back from my BFF’s wedding. It was such a beautiful, emotional declaration of love. I was so proud, happy and in awe of the beautiful bride.

 

 

 

 

The wedding took place overlooking the Hudson River in a beautiful tent with farm tables and and flowers. True to form, Emese left no detail out. There were chandeliers hanging from the tent’s ceiling and the view from the location was incredible.

 

 

All of my very best girlfriends were in the wedding and so happy to celebrate with the happy couple. We all wore shades of nudes and pale pink. The sweet bride let us pick our own outfits so that we could all feel comfortable and enjoy the day.

 

 

I was the maid of honor and let me just tell you that I worked soooo hard on my speech. She is my very best friend and I love this lady like a sister. Trying to find the right words while razzing her a bit was enough to make me a wee bit nervous! But in the end I think I was able to pull it off without anyone seeing the sweat beads forming on my brow.

 

 

The rehearsal dinner was on Friday at this amazing farm inside of an old barn. Leave it to Mike & Emese to make an old run down barn look magical.

 

 

Saturday brought the actual wedding and the most moving ceremony I’ve been to since my own. Dj Michelle Pesche dj’d the reception and the music was insane. The loving couple are both fans of good music so tunes were plentiful throughout the night.

 

 

It started off with a cocktail hour with the best bluegrass band I’ve ever heard! This means a lot considering I come from Kentucky the HOME of bluegrass. They served homemade pizzas and beer during cocktail hour and for the wedding the food was amazing! Grilled romaine and halibut! Plus they did it up right and ended with some delicious homemade donuts that were to die for!

 

 

The stationary was from Mr. Boddingtons and the flowered were curated by one of my best friends, the lovely Mimi Brown. Before Mimi was the floral artist that she currently is she worked with Zac Posen and was an amazing event planner!

 

 

All in all we had way to much to drink and some of the best memories that we will cherish forever.
