LaBrea Tar Pits

For a place who’s name is incredibly close to Arm Pits I was a bit skeptical going in with my boy. I didn’t know what we’d find. I’d heard rumors of mastodons, vintage buffalo and dinosaur bones filling the halls and was game to see what it was like in person.

I took Brooks for a little afternoon getaway and we had a blast!

He loved looking at all of the recreations of prehistoric animals and I loved watching his reactions. I think that’s the best part of a shared experience like this – just seeing the magic in your baby’s eyes.

It was all worth it :). I’d highly suggest taking your little ones for a fun day of history and magic at the LaBrea Tar Pits.
