It didn’t take long for beauty enthusiasts to embrace TikTok’s bite-sized videos. Among all of the dance challenges and cute animal videos, you’ll also find plenty of viral beauty content. From quick tutorials to beauty hacks and beloved products under the hashtag #TikTokMadeMeBuyIt, not every bit of beauty advice is a good idea. But while we’ve all heard of the disasters (hi, gorilla glue hairspray girl), there are still quite a few TikTok beauty products and trends worth trying.

To help save you some time sifting through videos, here are the eight best TikTok-approved beauty moments.

A long-wear foundation can be hard to find, but TikTok found one that really works and it’s available at the drugstore. The L’Oréal Paris Infallible Fresh Wear Foundation-In-A-Powder quickly went viral for its full-coverage formula that stays in place for 24 hours.

Heat Protectant Spray

You already know you’re supposed to spritz a heat protectant spray like Living Proof Restore Instant Protection Spray through your hair before using your curling wand, straightener, or blow dryer. But how often do you actually follow the rules? Well, if you had your doubts that a heat protectant was even helping your hair in the first place, TikTok has shown it really does—using bread and a toaster, of all things.

Instead of buttering bread, hair-savvy TikTok users applied heat protectant spray to half of a slice of bread before sticking it in the toaster. When it was done, only the half without the spray came back toasted, showing just how effective these sprays are when it comes to protecting your hair against heat and sun damage.

Rather than stocking up on blotting paper to absorb oil from your face throughout the day, TikTok found one product to eliminate the problem. Another drugstore find, the Revlon Oil-Absorbing Volcanic Stone Roller is reusable and compact for on-the-go touch-ups. With over 390 million views for the hashtag #CurtainBangs on TikTok (not to mention all of the celebrities currently sporting the face-framing fringe), it’s safe to say that curtain bangs are having a moment. The longer style adds shape and texture around the face, and it’s way more low maintenance than your classic bangs—just maybe avoid the TikTok videos instructing you to cut them yourself.

Because keratosis pilaris is caused by dead skin cells blocking hair follicles, First Aid Beauty combined AHAs glycolic and lactic acids to gently slough away dead skin cells, revealing smoother skin.

TikTok found a simple DIY hack for achieving fluffy, feathered eyebrows that uses a bar of soap, a spoolie, and a spritz of face mist. After dampening either the spoolie or the soap bar with your face mist, rub the spoolie back and forth on the soap to create a lather, then simply brush the spoolie through your brows to shape them.
