Beauty...
I am beyond excited to share this week’s YouTube video with all of you! I feel like it really captures who I truly am in the realest fashion. Aside from birthing baby Grey, this book was a huge accomplishment for myself. I’m not going to lie, it was definitely challenging but beyond rewarding. There were moments where I honestly didn’t think I was going to be able to meet the deadline or that people would hate it. But when it was all dead and gone, I am so proud with what we delivered.
Another huge part of this book was the book tour. I was gone from my children for days and weeks at a time. I did my best to book my press Tuesdays through Thursdays so I would be with them on the weekends. However, I was still obviously missing them so so much. I received photos from my husband on the regular and FaceTimed them whenever we had the chance.
It was a lot of hard work, I’m not going to lie… but I had a blast doing it! Our trip didn’t have the best start as we were delayed for about 3 hours and were on the tarmac that entire time. But we finally took off and it was smooth sailing from there (until the following morning). I felt as if anything could go wrong during this trip, it did. My makeup artist and digital manager came to my apartment in the morning and I went to go get them, forgetting that the door automatically locks. Yes, I locked myself and my two girls out. Then, in the same day… we went to AOL Build I dropped my cell phone in an elevator shaft. This is NOT a joke. This is real life. I had to question, is mercury in retrograde or what?! I later found out: it wasn’t. Fast forward to the following day, we were leaving VICE for our shoot with Action Bronson in Brooklyn then had to rush to Hell’s Kitchen are for The Harry Show… and yup, we got pulled over by the NYPD. I literally cannot make this stuff up you guys.
I’m not gonna lie though, these moments are what made this book tour an unforgettable one. I got to meet with some amazing broadcasters and their audience and I could not trade that experience for the world. I would not have been able to do this without my amazing team … and I mean they’re freaking amazing, my patient and loving husband, and my three kiddos who were beyond understand every time mommy had to go on a work trip.
I really hope you guys enjoyed this VLOG & I can’t wait to create a few more of these for you so you can get an inside look into my life.
