Beauty...
Anyone else already missing summer? Scott and I made the transition from warm weather into the colder season a little bit easier by escaping to Cabo San Lucas last weekend for a few days of sun and fun in the tropical climate. With Brooks at our side, we relaxed by the pool, indulged in a few beach inspired beverages, and OB-sessed over the beautiful sunsets we were afforded.
Between Stuber’s busy schedule and my exciting filming for the Carrie Diaries, it’s hard to coordinate time away, but I’m all about the “work hard, play hard” motto. I always try to take some time off after a long stretch of work to spend time with my family. It’s so, so, so important to not feel guilty about treating yourself. Plus, Brooksie Boo is growing up so fast, I know Scott and I will be so happy to have all these memories as he gets older.
Each morning we’d get up and sit down to a breakfast of sunny side up eggs with fresh tomato slices and avocado. It’s so simple, but so good, and such a great way to start your day. Afterwards, we’d head to the pool with Brooks who couldn’t wait to drive his new truck along the ledge. It’s AH-mazing to see him grow and learn and see how much he changes on a daily basis.
Though the majority of our time was spent poolside or lounging on the beach, we managed make it to a few DE-licious dinners. If you’re planning a vacation to Cabo, def, def, def make sure that Flora’s Field Kitchen is on your list of places to eat. They prepare meals with ingredients straight from their own farm so you know you’re eating healthy food that’s good for you AND so tasty.
During the evening, we’d make sure to pop back to the water’s edge to catch the sunset. It seems like when you’re by the water or beachside, there’s no such thing as a bad sunset – even when clouds block the final seconds of the sun’s decent!
