Now that I’m a redhead, it’s not just my makeup style that has to change, I’m switching it up with my fashion choices as well!
After years as a blonde, I’m so, so, so excited to bring new colors to my wardrobe and step outside my comfort zone. Cream and gold were my go-to colors as a blonde. But now that I have red hair, I’ve embraced two new fashion statements – power of black and going for colors.
First, let’s discuss the power of black clothing. Now that my hair is BE-yond bright, I can go ahead and wear the New York uniform of black on black, because it’s the red that gives me the color in my style. I think I’m going to invest in a statement jacket, like a little Helmut Lang number, perhaps! I can throw on a great pair of skinny jeans, a white tee, my new black jacket, layer some necklaces, and I’m good to go, thanks to my red locks.
Now for the bolder fashion statement – really going for it color-wise. For my very first full day as a redhead, I opted to go bold with my color choice. I wore a floral knee length Suno dress with longer sleeves and a slight cut out, paired with matching peep toe pumps. As a redhead, I feel so, so, so much more comfortable embracing the trend of monotone colors, especially when they’re complimentary to my new red tresses!
Regardless of all these decisive fashion statements, it’s the littlest things that can up your confidence, whether it’s fashion or beauty. While a new pair of shoes do wonders for changing how you walk, an update to your hair like a new cut or color totally changes how you feel.
Oh, and if anything, the change from blonde to red just means that I have a huge excuse to go shopping! Am I right, ladies?
