Beauty mogul and actress, Jessica Alba ensures her mornings are always started with a freshly cleansed face and quality time with her three little ones. She shows how you can still manage the perfect skincare routine using Honest products, but also allow enough time to cook breakfast in between. Find out how this multi-tasker typically starts her morning to prepare herself for a full workday ahead.
7:00 AM:
I generally wake up at 7 am, although I do long for the days of sleeping in! The very first thing I do when I wake up is wash my face with Honest Beauty Calm On Foaming Cream Cleanser and follow that up with my favorite Prime +Perfect Mask. I always reach for this mask because it’s full of superfruit antioxidants, shea butter to moisturize, and vitamin E to nourish. Without fail, it leaves my skin feeling tighter and makes my pores look smaller–I literally can’t start my morning without it! I like to think of it as my version of a morning smoothie for my skin.
7:10 AM:
After my mask is on, I try to do a 5-minute morning meditation to get grounded and set my intentions for the day. If I am running close on time, I skip the meditation and head downstairs to make coffee. My go-to is an espresso topped with warm oat milk that I mix with agave and cinnamon. The perfect amount of spice and sweetness.
Next up, I check my schedule for the day. I try to get to my emails before the kids get up….keyword, try!
7:15 AM:
My girls, Honor, and Haven generally come down to the kitchen and that’s when it is my cue to start whipping up breakfast. Hayes (or as I like to call him, Hayesie Boo) is usually still sleeping, so this is the moment of the day I can have quality time with my girls.
My go-to breakfast is 2 fried eggs, cherry tomatoes quartered, avocado with seasoned salt and lemon, and sourdough toast.
8:00 AM:
I wash off my mask and depending on the day or season, I’ll either use the Vitamin C Radiance Serum or the Calm & POREfect Serum. I let that sit on my skin for about 30 seconds and follow that up with either Hydrogel Cream or our new Calm and Heal Melting Balm. Especially in the winter months, I can get super dry skin, which the Calm and Heal Melting Balm is perfect for. I have been working with our Honest Company chemists for years to develop a CLEAN alternative to those super expensive creams on the market. It’s so luxurious, it literally melts in your skin leaving it looking like a dewy dumpling…I’m obsessed. I ALWAYS follow that up with Honestly Bright Eyes under my eyes. It’s a water-based eye cream that corrects blue undertones. My last step – add Gloss C – it’s a lip treatment and gloss in one. Once I’m done with that little routine, I head to Hayes for some snuggles.
