During 2020, so many of us picked up new on-demand exercise classes. For Katrina Scott, a co-founder of Tone It Up, this way of working out was already routine. After all, she’s consistently creating new classes and programs, including Tone It Up 6:40— a transformative guide that involves exercising for 40 minutes, 6 days a week.
Here’s how the 2021 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie starts her day on the right foot.
5:30 AM
I wake up before the house wakes up. When [my husband Brian and [my daughter] Bella are still asleep, I use this time to do a little something for myself. I wake up, get ready, and make my usual collagen latte — that’s adding Tone It Up collagen creamer with my coffee.
Then, I get dressed for my workout. One of my favorite fitness brands is Beach Riot. Their sets are incredibly comfortable and always cute.
5:40 AM
Once I’m dressed, I prepare my post-workout fuel so that everything is ready to go as soon as I’m finished! I gather a few vitamins and prepare a protein shake. All of our Tone It Up protein powders are plant-based, non-GMO, dairy-free, and gluten-free — so it’s an easy way to build lean muscle without causing bloating.
5:50 AM
The house starts waking up soon after I’m done with my workout, so I get the kitchen ready for a quick, easy and incredibly tasty breakfast! I typically whip up something easy like the 6:40 Scramble – available in the 6:40 Meal Plan in the Tone It Up app. It’s got delicious ingredients like mushrooms, sliced onions, eggs, avocado, and a little salsa. After we eat together, we get Bella dressed, and off to pre-school. Then Brian and I tackle the work day.
6:00 AM
By 6 a.m., I’m ready to start my workout. Tone It Up 6:40 is my new program in the Tone It Up app. It’s a 6-week transformative program with 40-minute workout themes that include strength training, yoga sculpt, toning, stretches, cardio, and more.
I was inspired to create 6:40 on a morning just like this. After a yoga session where I reflected on my own evolution as a fitness trainer, mom, and founder.
